The Fraser Experimental Forest, located just outside of the Town of Fraser, was established in 1937. The purpose for its creation was to provide a high alpine and subalpine environment to study the relationships between forest treatments and water yield. Since its establishment, scientific research in hydrology, forestry and forest ecology is ongoing. Located in the upper reaches of the St. Louis Creek watershed, the 36 square mile research area has a rich history in the Fraser valley including both stories of life before and life after its establishment. Please join us in exploring this history and the science behind the Fraser Experimental Forest.
