Book Release & Author Talk with Ann Stricklin

Through family photographs, personal stories, and historic accounts, Stricklin traces the remarkable life of her grandfather, Virgil H. Lininger, and the experiences of the Lininger family in Colorado. Virgil became part of the bustling community of Arrow, where he worked in the logging industry and helped establish his family in the mountain town. Members of the Lininger family operated boarding houses and cafés, taught school, worked in logging, and welcomed travelers arriving by rail.

Join Ann as she shares photographs and stories from the book and reflects on the family history that inspired her to preserve Virgil’s legacy.
